Where It All Began
Sitter Socials founder Betsy grew up during the height of
"The Babysitters Club" era and spent her middle & high school years babysitting for the children of her teachers, neighbors, and family friends in Marin County, CA.
After watching a friend scroll through pages and pages of Facebook posts from sitters looking for babysitting jobs and sending countless messages with very few responses, Betsy decided to launch
Sitter Socials, an in-person social gathering to help local families match with fun & friendly sitters. Sitter Socials allow parents and sitters to interview one another in a "speed dating" type setting to find the perfect match (or matches). Sitter Socials events are designed to foster genuine relationships and provide peace of mind to parents seeking reliable childcare.
